Harmonia Macrocosmica, by Andreas Cellarius, is part of the Marriott Library's Rare Book Collection. Printed in 1661, it is an atlas of the heavens as seen by the astronomers of the times: Copernicus, Ptolemy, Brahe, and Aratus. There are 30 double-folio hand-painted color plates, plus approximately 200 pages of accompanying text in Latin.

Harper's Weekly Journal and Frank Leslie's Illustrated Newspaper
Harper’s Weekly, the illustrated 19th century “Journal of Civilization 1857-1912. Before the Civil War, the editorial practice of Harper’s Weekly was to avoid discussion of the divisive issue of slavery whenever possible, and to calm anxiety and tempers when compelled to confront it. The illustrations range from 1857-1896. Each illustration is indexed, in a way for students and researchers to access the illustrations, cartoons, news, literature, editorials, and ads without spending hours poring over microfilm. The Harper’s Weekly is divided into different segments. The first segment includes the Civil War Era: 1857-1865. The next two cover Reconstruction: 1866-1871 and 1872-1877 and the last encompasses the Gilded Age: 1878-1896.

Historic Aerial Photographs of Early Nevada
Historic Aerial Photographs of Early Nevada is a collection of photographs from 1938 and 1939. During those years, Forest Service and Soil Conservation Service photographers took 61 aerial photos as part of a forest and soil survey. These are the earliest aerial photographs housed in the files of the Information Office of the Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology, located on the campus of the University of Nevada, Reno.

Historic Sheet Music Digital Collection
This collection creates a snapshot of the music Eastern Iowans played and sang in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Much of the music was originally housed at the Cedar Rapids Public Library and then dispersed to area colleges and universities upon its withdrawal from that library. Included in this digital collection are a number of songs about Iowa, such as "Way Down in Iowa," "Iowa Corn Song," and "I'm From Iowa (That Beautiful Iowa Song)."

Historical Photograph Collection
This collection forms part of the Pendleton Group, a series of photograph collections from the Pendleton area, 1880s-1940s. Images from certain photographers, such as Bowman, may be found in many of these collections. The Pendleton Group includes the Lee Drake photographs (PH 021), the Lee Moorhouse photographs (PH 036), the Charles W. Furlong photographs (PH 244), the Walter S. Bowman photographs (PH 004), and the Electric Studio/O.G. Allen photographs (PH 033). Related images are also held in the Print Collection (PH 035) and the Park Weed Willis photographs (PH 288).

The Holy Rosary — Red Cloud Digital Image Collection features selected photographs primarily from the Red Cloud Indian School of the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. The images include people, places, and events involving Oglala Indian children, youth, and adults; Jesuits; lay teachers; and Sisters of St. Francis of Penance and Christian Charity. A few images of Native Americans from the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota (Brulé Indians) and elsewhere in the United States are also included.

Homer Calkin Slides Digital Collection
This collection features a portion of the more than 15,000 color slides taken by former U.S. Department of State Deputy Director Homer L. Calkin (1912-1995). Images taken from 1948 to 1983 by this distinguished University of Iowa alum show historic and tourist sites in New England, Canada, Europe, and Asia. Slides Calkin left unlabeled have been identified as specifically as possible using Calkin's appointment books and diaries as well as online resources.

Honnold Library record
The Honnold Library Record was the publication of the Honnold Library Society, the friends of the library group, founded in 1954. With its content focused on the special and unique collections at the Libraries, the Honnold Library Record sets a high standard for library publications in Claremont. Distinguished members of the Society, scholar-librarians, and other esteemed writers contributed pieces to the Record, published from 1958 until 1975. The Honnold Library Record is aptly named. During its publication run, it recorded the history of the Libraries of The Claremont Colleges at a particular time, the collections, services, and events, and the influence of The Libraries on the scholarly community in Claremont.
